Cat-Cow Stretch: How to Stretch Your Neck and Back

The Cat-Cow Stretch is an exercise that helps improve flexibility ‍️, spinal mobility , and back relaxation. To perform the movement correctly, start on all fours with your hands directly under your shoulders and knees under your hips. Begin by inhaling as you drop your belly toward the floor, lift your chest, and arch your lower back (Cow Pose). Then exhale as you round your spine upward, drawing your chin to your chest (Cat Pose). Alternate between these positions to stretch and strengthen your spine.

Muscles Worked: Spinal erectors, abdominals.
Equipment: Mat.
Activity: Mobility, Stretching.

Instructions:
Start on all fours, with hands under shoulders and knees under hips. As you inhale, arch your back downward (Cow Pose), lifting your chest and looking up. As you exhale, round your back upward (Cat Pose), tucking your chin toward your chest. This exercise improves spinal flexibility and helps release tension.
