Fabrizio has spent his entire career in technology. Back in 2004, his company was already applying machine learning to video analytics: pattern recognition, behavioral analysis, systems that learned to tell a real event from a false alarm. It was AI before the marketing caught up. In 2008 the company was acquired by March Networks, where he stayed on as CTO. A second investment in 2012 led to a second exit in 2014.

Uptivo was founded in 2016 around one question: what does a club operator actually need to turn work on the gym floor into measurable retention? The fitness industry was full of wearables designed for consumers, leaving clubs with hardware, software, and data never built for them. The answer took shape one piece at a time: proprietary heart rate hardware, B2B software built for operators, Nate AI for coaching at scale, and now SNAP, which removes the last real barrier to entry.

Certified as an innovative SME since 2020, Uptivo works with clubs across Italy, the UK, and the Gulf. The principle guiding the team is simple: build technology that is transparent, easy to manage, and disappears behind the work. Fitness affects people's health, and the technology supporting it should be built with the same seriousness as technology in fields where failure was never an option.
